How to Get Wax Out of Velvet

A quick, easy fix:
Hot water poured from behind
Will solve the problem.

After almost two months, I finally had to deal with the spilled wax on my costume since I return to the show tomorrow.

If only I had known, I could have told you months ago that waxed paper and a hot iron works as well...

Regardless, we're all greatly relieved that you got it out. If I were in the audience, I would have demanded my money back otherwise.

I considered the paper and iron method, but because it's velvet, that method can't be used without risk of squishing the pile.

Ahh pile... those of us who only buy bargain store cotton never run into that problem.
